Pink Coyote is a multi-disciplinary design studio founded by Shivani Joshi.
Born in Ahmedabad, she received her undergraduate degree in Architecture from CEPT University. While in college she received several awards: Best project for ‘Pre-final Studio, ‘Final year Studio, ‘Research Thesis and ‘The Kshitij Jain Design (2011) award. Her final year design thesis was later exhibited as a part of Studioplex (2012) in Madrid. She was also conferred with a gold medal from the State of Gujarat for B.Arch in 2013.
Having completed her office training with acclaimed architects Mathew and Ghosh in Bangalore, she soon went on to establish her own practice 2013 onwards.
More so, a trained Kathak dancer and a Diploma-holder in acting (from BJAS, Mumbai), her approach to design is guided by integrating both disciplines to create dynamic and experiential spaces at various scales.
The name Pink Coyote as a whole itself reflects the design philosophy.
Pink as I see stands for passion and liberation, an attitude to evolve designs with while Coyote in the spiritual context denotes transformation and self-reflection, our basis for creation of all spaces and art.
That as an ideology defines me as a person and translates into my work as a designer.

Spaces and performances both solely thrive on people for their survival. Dance is movement that engages both the mind and body of the viewers impacting human cognition and physiological state. Similar to a built environment, dance also appears to operate independently but has the ability to influence its surroundings.
A creative combination of both the disciplines to understand their basic essence, a workshop consisting of varied modules conceived and conducted by Shivani Joshi to explore the symbiotic nature of movement and architecture as a medium of exploration.
